About us

august jayde was founded in 2025 by 15 year old, Emma-Jayde Savedra. After starting her first job as a hostess, she bought her first sewing machine with her first ever paycheck and taught herself how to sew. Managing work and school life, along with learning a new "hobby" wasn't easy, but after months of dedication, she built her business slowly, pouch by pouch. 

The name is derived from Emma's birth month, august, and part of her name, Jayde. You can't imagine how long it took to come up with though!

My mission is to build a store that sells one-of-a-kind, handmade products that are unique, timeless, and elegant while being functional. We use 100% cotton fabric in each product, with a goal to lower microplastic waste and synthetic toxins on the Earth.
